Saturday 4/30

Hey everyone, how are you? I am good. I made it through the weigh in. Yes it was a set back, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I can still get right back into the thick of things with a little extra hard work. So Karin, you want to know what I accomplished today. Well, after the weigh in I went home and pumped the tires up on my mountain bike and I went for a ride. I have to tell you, my legs feel like cooked spaghetti, but it was refreshing to say the least. I am so used to being on the treadmill that I found I have muscles that I forgot that I have. Well, it was good seeing everyone today, sorry I missed Barb though. Good luck this month everyone. I will talk to you all later.

Friday 4/29

OK, I think there is something that I need to say. If there is anyone out there following me throughout this journey, besides my niece Amanda, I have to apologize for this past month. I gained instead of lost. More than just a few pounds that is. Let me just say that it was a bad month. My motivation was tested to the limits and it is obvious that I lost the battle. I guess I have to use a mulligan for the month of April. I refuse to make any excuses for what took place this month. It was all 100 % my fault. Thankfully I have found my motivation again thanks to Amanda although it is to late to salvage this month. I just have to work harder from this point on. Even though I set my self back considerably, it is not impossible to compete for the top prize. It is like my new friend Barb said, " nobody is going to give you praise for doing something that they want to do." I forgot that this journey can be a lonely one at times. In the end, it is all worth it. I am positive that my family will benefit by seeing me accomplish my goals. Like I have posted before, positive changes have already started happening. Oh well, I better get going for now. Don't worry, I am still in this. I am back for the long run. I will talk to you all soon.

Easter Eve

Well, the kids just colored about a million eggs. Now the trick is going to be to get them to go to bed. Is it me or are these holidays getting out of hand? I am not the most religious person in the world, but I think that the real reason for this holiday is being forgotten right before our eyes. I think that is the sad truth is that all holidays have succumbed to big business marketing schemes. Our world is in a sad state, isn't it? It makes me wonder where we are all headed. I know this doesn't have a thing to do with weight loss, but sometimes you have to get things off of your chest, There is one thing that Easter has to do with weight loss, the food. We all have to remember to take it easy tomorrow. I know that I have done severe damage to myself this month, but I have to get on track. I have to play catch up for the rest of the contest. I am confident that I will be fine in the end. I got my motivation back, that is all I need. I hope that we all have the strength to make it to the end. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and I hope that you all get to have a wonderful day with your families. Oh yeah, don't forget what the holiday is really about.

Wow, the end of April is almost here!?@#!

OK, I have to admit, I have been going through a rough time this month when it comes to losing weight. I have done some damage to myself in the form of cheating on my diet, a lot. As fate would have it, I received some good news from my niece Amanda. It seems that she has decided to start a weight loss journey herself. She told me that she has been reading my blog all along and that she has been successful in her journey so far. Imagine that, instant motivation again. I am accomplishing what I set out to do. Not only are my kids paying more attention, now my niece is too. This whole contest just took on a different meaning. People I love are looking to me for motivation. The funny part is that they are the ones giving it to me. Well, I will make this promise to my family and to myself. I am back, and I will give a thousand percent effort for the rest of this contest. Watch out everyone, here I come. I have to say thanks to Amanda, your timing is impeccable. I love you honey. OK everyone, I will talk to you all later.

Saturday 4/16

Hi everyone, how are you? I know I disappeared for a few weeks, but I am still here. I have to say that this month has been a rough one so far. I haven't felt good for the last two weeks. The diet is going alright for the most part. I haven't been as strict on myself as I should have been. Eventually I am going to get in the right frame of mind to do this the way I should be doing it. Well, there is a half of a month left, so I better make the best of it. I will talk with you all later.
